Who loves chocolate in chocolate? Meeee!!! (waves hand frantically in the air) As I have mentioned in many previous posts regarding chocolate related desserts, I LOVE chocolate. Chocolate itself, chocolate cake, chocolate cream (especially boston cream donuts) you name it – it so sweetly delicious.

Well, enough with the rambling about chocolate (considering I have talked about it a billion times). Time to get to the point of things – this overloaded chocolate granola – with an added crisp – coconut!!! Yes, I needed to amp some things up regarding to this granola because instead of just putting in chocolate chips, I added extra chocolate – cocoa powder. And maple syrup to make everything combine of course.

The cocoa powder (or cacao powder) is an added bonus for lots of chocolate flavor. It brings the whole flavor of chocolate granola together. Oh and did I mention, this is a no-bake recipe? You can of course bake it if you want but if you don’t want to or don’t have time, just leave it the way it is, just like the song just the way you are. “Cause you’re amazing… just the way you are” yup granola is amazing just the way it is right?

Granola is a wonder addictive in yogurt, smoothie, or oatmeal. It is super delicious and will make your day be happier (at least for me) because of the sweetness and yummy goodness of the granola. I love how the flavor makes eating oatmeal easier to eat (ironically granola is oat too). Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Chill Time: 30 minutes

Servings: 1½ cups

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup gluten-free old fashioned oats
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp mini vegan chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup coconut flakes

In a bowl mix all your ingredients together until fully incorporated.

Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes and you’re done! Enjoy with yogurt or smoothie!
