Lotions and lip balms I use for my lips and skin whenever they are chapped, dry, or for my eczema.
The first product, well I guess two products, that I use for my lips multiple times a day is good old Vaseline! I have the Vaseline lip therapy in a tube (so glad they came out with this version because it used to be in a super adorable mini container but I would have to use my fingers to put it on my lips… you know germs) and a travel sized Vaseline container. I mainly use the one in the tube and if I happen to misplace my lip therapy, then I use the travel sized one. My dermatologist recommended this for my eczema because I get horrible swollen lips with rashes and cuts from eating food I’m allergic too. So this Vaseline really saves my pain.
The next product is the MYMATCHA stick from Cocokind. You know when you put on lotion and then wash your hands like 15 minutes later and your hands feel all grimy, greasy, and just uncomfortable? If I know I will eat soon or wash my hands within the next hour but my hands are super dry and itchy, I rub on some of this MYMATCHA on my hands. It moisturizes my hands really well and most importantly, does not make my hands feel grimy after washing it.
Speaking of dry hands, I use Aveeno for body lotion. During the winter, your skin becomes so dry, which is where Aveeno comes in. I’ve been using Aveeno for years, since I was in elementary school, and it is so good for moisturizing. For me, (I don’t know why it doesn’t really work well for my dad), but it makes my skin feel so soft. It works best if you put it on every night before you go to sleep for at least a week straight. If you just put it on once in awhile, of course it won’t work as well! Also love how it doesn’t have much or any scent at all because I CANNOT stand anything that has a strong perfume scent. Sorry to you who may love perfumes or cologne, it just makes me super nauseous, dizzy, and my head hurt like crazy.
I also recently bought this lotion from Everyone at Whole Foods (mainly because it was on sale), and love this lotion too. I mainly use this for my hands, not my body unlike Aveeno. So moisturizing and will also make your hands feel great.
Back to lips, if I also happen to misplace my Vaseline lip therapy, I also use this coconut oil lip balm from Cocokind. It is very thick, perfect for my dry chapped lips and is my other go to lip balm after Vaseline.
Last but not least, I also use Clinique chubby stick in chunky cherry for extra color and a little more moisture. My lips, because of eczema, become super white, sometimes, so I put on some of this lip colour to give my lips life. I don’t use it often, mainly because I don’t really like putting on lip balm that has colors or just lipstick in general, but when I do need it, it works great too!
