Nice cream – the popular cream that’s just like ice cream but nice for body – made with, of course – bananas, plus sunflower (for the summer) and a favorite, chocolate!
I have been quiet away from blogging for 1+ month now because I was on vacation and wanted to relax and escape from the anxiety and messiness of my mind. I wanted to have a moment, well more like 6 weeks, of quietness and exploration before I go back to school and start studying. Because studying is boring and stressful right?
Cold, healthy, and not-to-sweet sorbet – perfect for the hot weather and July 4th!
Happy Independance Day! Let’s celebrate with some healthy desserts, like this strawberry and blueberry sorbet! This recipe was inspired by BuzzFeed except instead of using honey I used maple syrup to keep it vegan.
Black bean brownies – allergy-friendly, fudgy, sweet, and made out of completely black beans! A great healthy alternative for regular fudgy brownies!
Black bean brownies – sounds unusual right? They’re not made from the typical type of brownies that have flour and eggs, but instead are made of black beans. Though they made sound strange, don’t worry, because they taste just as great as regular fudgy brownies – maybe even better!
Crispy oatmeal cookies covered in salted chocolate – well, with butter that has salt.
Who doesn’t love easy to make and no-bake cookies? I do and you will too! Whenever you’re having a craving for cookies, a small snack or dessert, or just having a bad day and want something to make you feel better, these no-bake salted chocolate cookies are for you! They’re full of yummy crunchiness from the oats, sweet from the chocolate, and has a punch of salt from the butter. The taste is quite unique because of the butter since it’s not necessarily the type of salt taste you’d imagine. (But in a good way.)
Classic hummus – a wonderful snack that can be used as a dip for chips or a spread for toast.
Hummus has always been one of my most favorite dips/spreads ever. It is so creamy, thick, and delicious! Every time my mom buys hummus from the store, I always dip chips into and eat it as a snack, everyday, until they are gone – in less than a week! However, my mom doesn’t really buy it often – either because I eat too much, too fast, or she just doesn’t want to buy it. Well, I have my own homemade hummus so it doesn’t really matter now, right?
Gluten-free fettuccine drenched in buttery garlic sauce – vegan and allergy-friendly!
Garlic + butter. Such a great combination right? You can do so much with this great couple by making delish unique dishes from classic garlic bread to roasting it in veggies or meat. It may seem simple, but is truly a masterpiece flavor in any meal.
Garlicky and spicy sweet potato fries – a great snack with a spicy kick and a hint of garlic.
Do you like sweet potatoes or even yellow or purple yams? Honestly, I am not a fan of sweet potatoes (those orange ones) but I LOVE yellow and purple yams. These potatoes and yams have always been a snack in my house because my mom buys them all the time. They are super delicious, sweet, and healthy – it also has lots of fiber, potassium, and vitamin C which means a stronger immunity!
Gluten-free oat flour = a healthy alternative to all-purpose white flour. For non gluten-free, use regular oats.
Chocolate chip blondie oat bars that is allergy-friendly and gluten free!
When you read this title, you’re probably thinking WOW what a long title and mmmm sounds delicious… I hope haha. Yes, though it’s long, I had to fit in all the key components of this dessert so I would get the message out: this is a chocolate chip oat blondie bar that’s not only gluten free but allergy friendly! Yay to my allergy friendly peeps out there! Anyways, enough with the explanation and let’s start talking about blondies!
Gluten-free blueberry maple pancakes filled with tart blueberries and lip-smacking maple syrup.
Blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, cranberries, raspberries… you name any berry, I guarantee I will LOVE. Berries are a wonderful sweet and tart fruit and a perfect snack for when I’m hungry. Since I try not to eat too sweet foods or desserts all the time, berries are a perfect snack when I’m bored and want to munch on something. It’s so juicy, sweet, tart, just a party inside your mouth.
